Sindisa Private Hospital is a new 60-bed hospital that will be located in Ngwelezane township,
City of UMhlathuze.
Sindisa Private Hospital offers three (3) day-theatres that are supported by 26 short-stay beds.
In addition,the hospital houses 20-bed sub-acute ward and 14-bed rehabilitation ward.
Sindisa Private Hospital is co-owned and led by local general practitioners (GPs) and experienced
surgical and medical specialists in the region.
The medical doctors in UMhlathuze and its wide catchment area have maintained a strong motivation
to establish a much-needed entry-level hospital as a first in the township in KZN and to
intentionally use this as a proxy for township development.
The GPs involved come from Nongoma, Hlabisa, Manguzi, Ingwavuma, Pongola, Ulundi, Melmoth, Hluhluwe,
Mbazwana, Jozini, Eshowe, Mtubatuba, Mbonambi, Nseleni, Mzingazi, Richardsbay, Esikhaleni, Dlangezwa,
and Ngwelezane.
The specialists range from ENT surgeon, Maxillo-facial surgeon, Dentists, Gynecologists, General Surgeons,
Anesthetists, Physicians, Neurologist, and Orthopedic surgeons.
Sindisa Private Hospital project is well supported by UMhlathuze municipality as well as Trade Investment
